Thanks to everybody who entered. Submissions closed on Thursday 7th October, and after a final rush, there were a couple of thousand names in the virtual hat, with some entrants sharing their ‘Lucky Links’ so successfully that they multiplied their chances of winning by HUNDREDS! On Sunday, the winner was drawn at random using some fancy third-party software, and I’m delighted to be able to announce the winner!

Congratulations Chris Patrick-Simpson!

Born in Canada and raised in Belfast, Chris trained at the Gaiety School of Acting Dublin and graduated in 2000. Here’s what he had to say about his big win:

“I’m delighted to have won, this is such a massive help! Since leaving the Gaiety, my work has mostly been in film & tv – not out of choice it just kinda happened like that. As this type of work is very sporadic I do, like the majority of actors, have bill-paying jobs that keep me sane. I currently work in my local cinema and in my mate’s virtual golf bar. My other passions are Liverpool FC (for my sins), and spending time with my family & my rescue greyhound. I think every actor should adopt a hound, they are the best companions for the good and the bad times!”

Chris’s Spotlight Membership for 2015/16 has been paid, his subscription with The Stage will start soon, and he’ll be getting new headshots with www.stageshots.london when he’s next in town. Follow Chris on Twitter here, and find out more about adopting a rescue hound here. As the happy owner of a rescued Lurcher, I second his sentiments wholeheartedly.

Congrats, Chris. Thanks to The Stage for generously donating a prize. And thanks to everyone for taking part. If you want to know about future giveaways, please Click Here to Join the Mailing List
