Happy New Year! Here it is: Episode 9,  with Irish actor, writer and director, Peter McDonald. Sponsored by TodayTix.

All you need to know is that I laughed a lot during this interview and almost as much editing it. But aside from being good craic, Peter McDonald also throws in a few pearls of wisdom, and quite a bit of advice.

Peter is someone I’ve admired for a long while, not least because as an untrained Irish actor, he’s managed to work at the highest level, both on stage and screen. He’s also an accomplished writer and director (oscar-nominated in fact) but is still as passionate about acting as the day he started. I hope you enjoy listening to him half as much as I enjoyed our chat. And thanks again to Peter for his time, his coffee and his delicious hazelnut wafers.

And for any of you who have had a positive surprise this tax season, please forgive me for reminding you about my campaign to raise funds for ACT – the Actors’ Chrildrens Trust – by running in this year’s London Marathon.

Like listeners of the podcast, ACT understands that almost every actor will experience times of hardship; for 120 years, it has been working hard to limit the impact of our precarious industry on the families who otherwise might fall through the cracks.
