Episode 12 is here – the TWENTY-FIFTH edition of the podcast – and with it some big news: this will be the penultimate instalment of the current series.
Twenty five eps and one week shy of two years since I started this thing, Caoilfhionn Dunne keeps the tradition going by giving us another genuinely honest interview to get lost in.
As I unpacked to start recording, and having served me well for every single interview up to that point, my clipboard emerged from my kit bag in two pieces. It’s like the universe was saying, “enough with the same questions, already”. And as it turned out, this was another in a new vein of Honest Actors’ interviews that goes off piste and in which I’ve allowed the unique vantage of the interviewee to dictate the direction and the route taken.
Don’t get me wrong, lots of the old themes, topics, and indeed pre-written questions are in there, but we also have a long and, I hope, fascinating chat about being ‘the most hated woman in Ireland’ as a consequence of one very high profile acting job. There’s more, too, of topics that haven’t been touched upon in the majority of episodes to date. It all makes for a richer conversation and much more deeply personal interview.
Have a listen and let me know what you think.
And finally, if you’d like to know more about the Actors’ Children’s Trust, or sponsor my London marathon run, everything you need is here. If you’re running and fundraising yourself – regardless of which charity you’re helping – this is the last opportunity to send some audio for inclusion in this series of the podcast. Just send an audio file – less than 30 seconds in length – to firstname.lastname@example.org
See y’all in a fortnight…
